| Was born in Moscow in 1925. He began drawing as a child. In 1942 he met Piotr Sokolov, a pupil of Malevich, and Pavel Kuznetsov, both of whom became his teachers. He worked full time in a factory for many years and painted in spare time. In 1957 he stopped working and entered the Surikov Art Institute but was shortly expelled for his “nonconformist ideas”. He continued and is now considered as a great master of The New Russian Avant-Garde. |

Vladimir Nemukhin participated in numerous national and international exhibitions (France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Luxembourg, United States) and he is represented in prestigious private and public collections worldwide.
